Himalaya, an ombré Rhythm Latin ballroom dress by Doré. Ombré is an effect in which one color gradients into another color, usually a lighter color that gradually becomes a darker color. In this case, the dress transitions between white, gray, and black. Furthermore, the dress is form fitting made from a stretch knit fabric. The motif on the fabric is created by hand. The dress is sleeveless, with a halter neckline that has hook and eye closures on the back. Additionally, there is a deep v on the back bodice of the dress, that is laced together with ribbon similarly to a corset. Lastly, the dress has bra cups and a bodysuit.

Even the stone work on this ballroom dress by Doré match the ombré theme. In the white areas of the fabric, Swarovski stones in AB and Crystal shine. On the black and gray areas, Jet and Jet Hematite Swarovski crystals are used. The black halter that wraps around the neck is made with Jet crystal accents. The skirt is made of several feathers. Even the feathers are ombré starting in gray, and transitioning to white to finish the dress.

The art technique, stippling, is used to create the print on this fabric. Stippling is the process of drawing, painting, or engraving using numerous small dots or specks. Originally, this fabric was plain white. Stippling was used to create the gray and black. When two colors are close together in stippling, it can create another color. For example, if white and black are stippled closely together, as in this dress, they make gray. One of the most influential and well known painters,Vincent Van Gogh, is famous for using this technique in his art. Wear a one of a kind piece of true ballroom art, in our dress Himalaya!
