Queen’s Court

This Doré Smooth ballroom gown is Queen’s Court, a dress that looks of royalty and beauty! An A-line lavender purple dress with gold accents. Firstly, the dress is primarily made of a stretch knit. It is sleeveless, with thick straps that have a hook and eye closure on the back like a halter. Additionally, the back has a large scoop neck keyhole that makes it partially open. A piece of chiffon fabric drapes in the back and forms a cowl. To continue, the back has an invisible zipper for a closure. The skirt is several layers, as well as godets made of sheer chiffon. A horsehair trim adds fullness and weight to the dress. Lastly, the dress has built-in bra cups and a bodysuit.

It is the embellishments that make this Doré Smooth ballroom gown look like royalty. Floral and vine gold appliqués with Swarovski crystals highlight the neckline and cinch the waist on both the front and back of the dress. The rest of the dress has Tanzanite Swarovski stones shining. They are meticulously placed through out the dress creating a fabric where the polka dots sparkle! The dress has a lavender cuff with gold appliqué. Take this royal dress to the ball-room floor!

Who does not want to look and feel like a queen? Singer, Beyonce, refers to herself as Queen B, and even her fans sing her praises calling her the Queen. Rapper, Nicki Minaj, showed a softer side to the Met Gala in a blush pink dress with an embroidery chandalier crystal detail and a silk taffeta bouillon train by Atelier Prabal Gurung to the Met Gala. Prabal, said his inspiration was from reimagining a present-day King Louis XIV, in a modern court ruled by a powerful queen rather than a king.
