We are honored to announce our Co-Founder and Owner, Julie Michelle Wilson, has been crowned:

Julie competed in Dublin, Ireland for this title. She looks forward to promoting Ireland tourism from all over the world; shining a light on Irish charities; and having her children’s book featuring Castle Caldwell, the home of her ancestors, published. During her previous reign as Ms Ireland USA, Julie shared her family story about the founding of Belleek Pottery with the Famine Museum in Dublin, Ireland, for permanent exhibit. She also participated in numerous Irish events and parades; and promoted the Irish dance community throughout the US. Her favorite memory was visiting the Chapel at Templecarne, County Fermanagh, in Northern Ireland that belonged to the Caldwell Baronetcy of Wellsborough, from which she is descended. The Ireland Pageants organization knows Julie will do an outstanding job representing Ireland and Irish women everywhere.  May the luck of the Irish always be with her.   Sláinte!

2020 Pantone Color of the Year

The 2020 Pantone Color of the Year is Classic Blue (Pantone 19-4052). “Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute commented “We are living in a time that requires trust and faith.  It is this kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on.  Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation.  A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.”

Flirty Dancing

Flirty Dancing is a brand new kind of dating show! It is two parts Dancing with the Stars, one part the Bachelor, with a twist of Blind Date just for fun.  Participants learn a choreographed dance routine individually, which is tailored to illustrate their personalities, and what they are looking for in a mate. When the participants meet for the first time they are to dance and then leave…only communicating through dance.  After the encounter they decide if they would like to schedule a regular first date.  Watch these Hollywood musical style first dates play out for yourself!!!!  We will be watching!!! This clip is from the production by Channel 4 in Ireland.

Encore is excited to announce the success of one of our favorite Dress Department interns.  She came to us with a theatrical background looking to broaden her scope in costume design and refurbishment.  We have recently learned she has been hired as a member of the traveling wardrobe department for Disney’s, The Lion King. Wishing her much success and feel her training here at Encore was invaluable!

having a BALL!

Encore Ballroom Couture has been entrusted with the remaining Dancing with the Stars show pieces designed by Emmy award winning costume designer, Randall Christensen! This will be the last opportunity dancers, and fans, will have to own a part of television, and dance history. Many museums and private collectors have been contacted, and the collection will be moving along quickly. All of the pieces in the collection retain their original integrity, and are authentic Dancing with the Stars show pieces.
