The bodice is broken up into sections. Firstly, the front of the dress has a stretch jersey fabric forming a sweetheart neckline. It contours to create a slimming silhouette. Surrounding it is a turquoise netting on top of a nude fabric that gives the illusion your skin is showing underneath the netting. Additionally, the dress has a drop waist. The fringe starts at the hips and is tiered in rows from the hips down. The back of the dress is open with a horizontal elastic strap. Furthermore, the elastic strap has a hook and eye to make it easy to get in and out of. For closures, it has an invisible zipper down the center back. Lastly, it has built-in bra cups and a bodysuit.

We had fun coming up with a name for this blue fringe ballroom dress! Between the color and the netting, we thought about beautiful blue water glistening in the sun. Looking at this dress made us daydream about the sweat dripping down our ice cold drink and our toes in the sand. We pictured laying underneath our umbrella with the soundtrack of waves in the background. The blue of this dress is similar to the turquoise waters of the islands of Maldives. From that inspiration, the dress name “Caught in a Wave” came to life!
