Cool As A Cucumber

You’ll be “Cool as a Cucumber,” in this spectacular Smooth ballroom costume by Doré! To begin, the dress has a sweetheart neckline on the front, and a plunging open back. The bodice of the dress is made from a stretch knit fabric in a minty green. Likewise, the dress is sleeveless, with thick straps made from the knit fabric in place of sleeves. The skirt transitions into several layers of a gorgeous ombré chiffon fabric. It starts off in a sea foam green and gradients into a parakeet. Lastly, the dress has built-in bra cups, a bodysuit, and invisible zipper down the center back.

50 shades of green embellishments make up this Smooth ballroom costume. The glittering stonework creates an ombré effect on the bodice of the dress. Firstly, AB Swarovski crystals start at the neckline. Rows and rows of closely placed AB crystals sparkle their way down the bodice. Then, the AB switches to Chrysolite Swarovski crystals. They mimic the same V-shape as the row above it. Next, rows of Olivine crystals shine. This is the last row of green creating the ombré repertoire. The rest of the bodice radiates with several hues of glistening green. To add to the look, accessories include a pair of full sleeves.

Green, the most versatile and complimentary color, due to the fact that it looks stunning no matter the hair color, eye color, or skin tone. We can’t think of any complexion this dress wouldn’t honor! Due to this, things are going green on the runway. For example, Armani Privé paired a lustrous green with fringe for their Summer 2020 collection. Georges Chakra kept the glittery theme, but used lighter shades from chartreuse to lime for his airy Summer catalogue. In ballroom, green is often not seen on the dance floor, making it quite the punchy surprise when it makes its debut!
