Grape Expectations
We know you have Grape Expectations, in this Elle Dance Studio dress, and we do too! Firstly, the bodice of this Rhythm Latin dress is made of a jam purple jersey knit fabric. It is form fitting, with a play on a sweetheart neckline, and a semi-open back. Thick elastic straps encompassed by jersey fabric make the sleeves of this dress. Secondly, the skirt is made of a true purple jersey fabric. Although, with all of the fringe, not much of the skirt’s fabric shows. The fringe is two colors, alternating between a lilac and eggplant purple. Lastly, this dress has built-in bra cups and a bodysuit.
The embellishments and multitude of accessories are equally as stunning. A flower appliqué in an olive green attaches at the left bust and right side hip. Furthermore, iridescent high end European crystals that seem to change colors in the lighting shine on the dress from Sapphire AB to Jet AB (green with a hint of purple). They shine on the bodice, flower appliqués, and the small florets throughout the dress. Thirdly, a purple ribbon made of the jam purple jersey fabric, squiggle around the front neckline and waist. The ribbon also sparkles with glistening stones. Lastly, this Elle Dance Studio dress comes complete with a pair of pierce earrings, a neckpiece (as pictured), an armband, and 2 wristbands.
This dress sings, Moulin Rouge, a 2001 musical film that tells a romantic story of an English poet falling in love with a cabaret actress in Paris, France. Along with winning Best Picture, the movie and leading actress, Nicole Kidman, also won Best Costume Design. The movie has sparkly sequin and crystal numbers, feathery boas, and fringe dresses. Today, you can see the jukebox musical Moulin Rouge on broadway, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, in New York.
