Jupiter’s Storm

This Flashdance Rhythm Latin Dress is Jupiter’s Storm. To begin, the bodice of this dress is made of a sheer stretch black mesh. The mesh forms the high-standing Nehru collar, long sleeves, and the bodice of the dress. However, the bodice has a nude stretch fabric underneath. Additionally, the side panels at the waist are cut out. The cut-outs continue to the back, making the lower back bodice open. On the back, two elastic straps reach from the upper bodice. The skirt changes into a purple made of a stretch fabric. Furthermore, the shape of the skirt is a teardrop with a sharp point. Lastly, it has built-in bra cups and a bodysuit.

Embellishments on this dress include appliqués, luxurious crystals, and fringe. Firstly, a black embroidery appliqué adorns the collar, sweetheart neckline, the cut-out on the back bodice, and outlines the teardrop shape of the skirt. The appliqués are winding, forming intricate swirls that connect to each other and continue into the next swirl. Secondly, the appliqués shine with black premium crystals. Thirdly, this dress is fringe-tastic! Long black fringe start right below the appliqués at the bust, and create the outermost layer of the skirt. The fringe sits on the side hips, outlines the teardrop skirt, and also ends in a point.

This coloration and movement of this dress made us think of a thunderstorm quickly appearing. A storm on the dance floor taking over and demanding to be seen. The planet Jupiter, is known for having storms with lightning strikes that are hundreds of times more powerful than those on Earth. Jupiter is the fastest rotating planet, with its own posse made of 67 moons. How fitting then, that this Flashdance Rhythm Latin dress with elegant fringe and a striking sophistication about it, be named, Jupiter’s Storm!
