Kaboom!

Kaboom! This beautiful explosion is our Vesa Rhythm Latin gown. An all black dress with highlighter pink detailing. Firstly, the dress is made from a black stretch knit fabric. Features include a v-neckline on the front, long sleeves, and a flounce skirt. The bodice is form fitting with a drop waist. From the drop waist, the black flounce skirt attaches and flares, with a vibrant pink ribbon hem. The front bodice of the dress has vibrant pink details that look like an explosion or Rorschach cards mirroring each other. These motifs also appear on the sleeves. On the back, there is one especially large image that looks like a cartoon explosion, hence the name of the dress, Kaboom! Lastly, the Rhythm Latin ballroom dress has an invisible zipper down the center front, as well as, a built-in bodysuit.

Although this Vesa Rhythm Latin gown is all black, the Swarovski crystals bring the fabric to life! Every centimeter of the black fabric is heavily adorned with Jet Hematite Swarovski crystals. From the neckline, to the long sleeve, to the drop waist. Another fun detail, is the skirt has black fringe. This adds movement to the already playfully exaggerated silhouette of the skirt. The zipper on the front of this dress makes it really easy to put on and take off, but trust us, you will never want to take off this dress!

Pop art, the art movement of the 1950s that mirrored everyday items, consumer goods, and mass media messaging. Artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein were forefronts in the artistic movement. Imagine a painting of clouds with an explosion, painted only in primary colors, with text that says “Pow!” The influence in the shapes and explosion on the back of this dress can be seen in pop art paintings.
