Raspberry Sundae
Raspberry Sundae, a decadent Smooth ballroom dress by Randall Designs that is sweeter than your favorite ice cream! To begin, the dress features off-the-shoulder long sleeves made from a stretch mesh in black. The bodice is glittery with a sequin print. It forms a range of sparkly circular shapes with magenta outlines, silver centers, and a black background. Furthermore, the skirt is made of several layers of fabric. The outermost layer is a vibrant pink chiffon with sewn in binding for additional fullness. The dramatic silhouette is simply breathtaking as it twirls! Lastly, the dress has built-in bra cups and a bodysuit.
Between the sequins and shiny adornments, this Randall Designs Smooth ballroom dress knows how to catch everyone’s attention on the dance floor! Firstly, chunky appliqués hug the neckline, starting at the front, continuing on the off-the-shoulder sleeves, and wrapping around to the back. The appliqués are silver with matching Crystal stones, silver beads, and a touch of pink crystals and beads. Specialty large crystals make up the majority of the appliqués, ensuring extra glitz and glam! Similarly, high end crystals adorn the dress. A combination of Crystal and Fuchsia stones glimmer on the neckline, bodice, and sleeves.
Schiaparelli’s couture collection offers a lesson in the sheer power of shapes, from hands to hearts to rectangles. It’s the use of circles, however, that caught everyone’s attention. So subtle, this trend is far removed from its less innovative and sophisticated little sister, the polka dot. Delicate circle motifs climb up dresses and circular eyelet cutouts peek out from underneath layers of fabric. It’s playful and mysterious, exciting and timeless. This trend excels when translated into the diction of ball gowns. Create trompe l’oeil and optical illusions via swirls of sequins, embroidery, keyhole cutouts, and circular gatherings of fabric.
