Again this year we were thrilled to be a sponsor of Dance for the Cure. This 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable foundation supports cancer research and programs through the power and artistry of dance. The Dance for the Cure Charity Ball always features cocktails, dinner, silent auction, general dancing, a great professional dance show and more! Previous year’s amazing performers have included: Nazar Narov & Irina Kudryashova, Peter & Alexandra Perzhu, Ruslan & Katusha Wilder. GOLD Stars Donation Program

GOLD STARS is a dance program with affiliated 501 (c) (3) non-profit status. This program provides youth from economically challenged families, who are in good standing in elementary, middle and/or high school, with free ballroom dance education.  The youth practice weekly and participate in showcases, special performances, and competitions.  With ballroom dresses being financially out of reach for these students, we are excited to offer our clients the opportunity to donate their dresses to this worthy program.  Once donated the program retains and maintains the dresses for current and future use.  As a company we are honored to be associated with this program.

Please visit our Donate Your Dresses page for more information on how to donate.

Toppers for Troopers

toppersfortroopers-updatedToppers for Troopers was established by Encore Ballroom Coutures’ own, Julie Wilson!  It is a donation program associated with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, Maryland.  WRNMMC is the largest military medical facility in the United States, caring for those who were injured in combat, or are ill.  They treat active service members, retired service members, and beneficiaries (ie spouse, and children) of service members.  Through our program we look forward to providing more “tools” to the WRNMMCs’ “Look Good Feel Better Program.”  This program teaches patients who are suffering from alopecia (loss of hair) either from injury, illness or treatment, how to regain a new self image.  They use makeup techniques, wigs, hairpieces, scarves and hats to sculpt the new look and teach individuals to more comfortably live in their new body. For more information on what items are accepted for donation and information on how to donate please see our Toppers for Troopers page for more details.

Fair Trade & The Dress Spa

Encore Ballroom Couture proudly uses fair trade products in our Dress Studio and Spa.  By using fair trade products we are doing our part to help farmers establish good and sustainable agriculture practices, securing better health and natural resources for generations to come.  Furthermore, all products used on our dresses during the cleaning process in our Dress Spa are hypoallergenic and chemical free.  We feel the enjoyment of dancing should not jeopardize your health!
